My reply is not what you want to hear, but using an old xoops/ forum module can cause your issues!

What xoops version is used? Other important question: did your hoster issue upgrades recently? As upgrades and in particular php upgrades can cause big problems with older xoops versions. Check this with your hoster and let us know!

What about image manager, can you upload images in there? I ask this question to find out if this is a general image upload problem or solely related to uploading avatars...

WP has a nice multilingual plugin with language detection. It's like xlanguage but is more advanced, has seo and is more user friendly (I like the seperate input in editor instead of using tags). It could be nice for ideas and investigating

There is a github project adding a souncloud button to tinymce. Maybe you can hack it in the xoops tinymce editor?

It would be great to have a simple way to include external content like video or for instance soundcloud on a xoops forum, but is using bbcode (not userfriendly) the way to go? I rather would like a simplified editor with buttons for the kind of content your users can add, providing a popup to add the url to. The way it works in Facebook would even be better, just paste a link in your text and FB converts it to an embed!

There are several options... This xoops site gives some nice exampleshttp://momedtekstil.com.tr/

The mastop go2 module is used for the big slideshow on the frontpage. The four clickable pictures underneath are a extgallery block with jquery (javascript) effect.

On other pages caricaphoto is used (a basic xoops feature). Upload the picture at a bigger size (say 800x600 px), when adding the picture in the content tell xoops to show it tiny (let's say 150px). But when a user clicks the picture it will show up in 800x600 size.

I just did It's not deleted but I made it invisible. I also made your new menu's visible for not admin users.

I could not resist to do another tweak: I moved the language selector (flags) from the top right to down left. Result is the menu's at the left and right are now lined up at the same height. Let me know if you don't like that, than I'll put the flags back to where they resided...

As you have Dutch and English downloads you could consider to divide the languages by making separated menus for both. Naming one Nederlandstalige downloads and the other one English downloads. It's just a thought

And please, stop shouting in your menus by using capitals only. Only amateur webmasters do
