Very nice! Dugris did an awesome job with it!

Can ask Dugris if it would be possible to modify Altsys to work the same way? That would fantastic!

Could be different things. In the cases when it happened to me, it was:

1) One time, I've changed the URL path, but didn't change the physical path
2) Another time, it was the physical redirecting on the host, that took my URL, but then redirected me to the old physical directory.

So make sure that your URL and physical paths are all in sync.

Can you PM the user called "Mamba" to let him know; sounds like you have found a bug that needs submitting to SVN and I don't have SVN access myself

It's better to submit it as a bug to our Bug Tracker, so the core developers can evaluate it, and make sure that it doesn't have any side-effects.

John, if you need SVN access, you need to be member of SourceForge, and once you are, PM me so I can add you there.

Did you update to 2.3.0, or to 2.3.2b?

2.3.2b is the latest release.

I like the text in the end:

The fact that more than one third of respondents reported the use of open source CMSs and generally graded them quite well as compared to commercial systems may be the information you’ve been waiting for to feel comfortable using an open source system.

We have here the 2.3.2b installed, and I run again updates on the System and Protector, without any errors. So we'll need some Morphogenesis experts to help, because I don't know what to tell you.

Did you install it from the Update package, or from the whole package?

If from the Update, could you install it from the full package as you would install for 2.0.18, i.e. copy all the files except the mainfile.php and the directories such as install, cache, template_c, uploads. I would also copy the Themes subdirectory just to make sure that you have the right theme files.

You have to specify the location of the block in your Admin/System/Blocks - select "Side-Block-Left"

As Trabis said, did you check /xoops_data folders/subfolders?

The only other possibility is that there is a conflict between Protector versions.

Did you have Protector installed before? If yes, did you follow the instructions before upgrading?

Do you have any module that is depending on Altsys? On few occasions that was causing a problem as well, so you might update it as well, making sure that the parts of those modules that should be in "XOOPS_TRUST_PATH" are located in /xoops_lib and that the entry in the mainfile.php for "XOOPS_TRUST_PATH" is pointing to that location, e.g.

Quote:

// Physical path to the XOOPS documents (served) directory WITHOUT trailing slash
define( 'XOOPS_ROOT_PATH', '/home/www/xoops' );
// Physical path to the XOOPS library directory WITHOUT trailing slash
define( 'XOOPS_PATH', '/home/xoops_lib' );
// Physical path to the XOOPS datafiles (writable) directory WITHOUT trailing slash
define( 'XOOPS_VAR_PATH', '/home/xoops_data' );
// Alias of XOOPS_PATH, for compatibility, temporary solution
define("XOOPS_TRUST_PATH", XOOPS_PATH);

Please note that for security reasons, the /xoops_lib and /xoops_data are located outside of the main XOOPS directory.
