I just downloaded 2.2.4 a few weeks ago. It did not appear to be fixed.

Hello,

I've included a DHTMLTEXTAREA element in my xoopsform. When I type in a few lines separated with carriage returns. The data is coming back with
</>
showing in the text box.

I do not see anything in the DHTMLTEXTAREA to set how line breaks are displayed or saved to the database. I noticed on EXTCalendar it works and does not show <b /> but actual line breaks in the text field.

Anyone else having the same problem? How did you fix it?

There is a small module in the dev forge.

Hello,

The forum (as far as I know) is a XOOPS module. You can go to the modules section of xoops.org and download the module.

To install place the expanded file in the modules directory of your XOOPS install. Then logon to your site as the administrator and to go the administration screen. Select the administration from the modules pulldown. This should take you to the modules page and all modules your XOOPS install knows about should be there. Click and select install.

The module should now be installed.

Hello,

To install a module you have to copy the module underneath the <xoops directory>/modules directory.

for example <xoops directory>/modules/xcgallery

Once you do this you will see the module listed in the administration screen for modules within xoops.

Good luck!!!

This is caused either by a trailing slash on the directory path or you have an incorrect directory specified.

Post back if this does not fix your problem.

thx.

I just checked. I'm running XOOPS 2.2.2 and news 1.4. It all seems to work.

What <b>specific</b> error are you getting?

Do you have the text of your news article? Can you include it in the post.

Thanks.

Def,

Try downloading XOOPS 2.0.x. The news module should work with this.

Since all the modules are developed independantly they sometimes do not convert over to a newer version of Xoops.

You might go to the module section and log a message to the owner of this particular module. They may not be aware of the problem.

Thx.
