Hello, I'm still with rc2... and I'd like to change the date of published sections articles. So I went into my sql database and checked for the dates. Anybody could explain to me which format is the date and how to modify them.
Thanks in advance, best regards, JCMoriaud, France

Hallo out there.
To begin with : thanx for XOOPS !!!
And sorry if I missed a topic that allready answered my question. I didn't find any.

I have a problem getting XOOPS running on remote server.
I tested it locally and everything worked just fine.
Now I installed XOOPS on a remote host athttp://asso.beauxarts.free.fr (installation was succesfull - db got installed ,etc), but I just get the same error message over and over again when trying to acces.

It says:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in functions.php on line 109

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: xoops_gethandler() in common.php on line 75

Any idea what the problem could be?
And has anyone had any experience with Free.fr?

Thank you
hanz

Many thanks, that worked a treat.

you should have checked the option : 'Update module template .html files from themes/your theme/templates directory?'

Looking at the way themes are stored, it seemed to me that any change I make in

/themes/<sometheme>/theme.html would be relflected in the displayed pages of <sometheme>

For example, a theme that I like but is overly 'chatty', has a greeting "HEY <username>" in the page header. I thought that simply changing "HEY" in theme.html to something more dignified would solve the issue.

However, this doesn't seem to be the case. Any change I make to theme.html seems to be ignored.

So where should these minor changes be made?

TIA
