In your function, try changing
global $xoopsDB;

to this
global $xoopsDB$HTTP_GET_VARS;

I am having the same problem, but mine has been there since I installed the first version of XOOPS 2. Please help anyone, as this makes the forum useless for most of my users :(

Re: Getting variables from url for use in a block ?!?

I also tried defining the variables in location.php as well, but I cannot use that definition in the file where the function for the desired block is used.

So what I would like to know is how I can get the variables I used in the URL into the function for showing a block.

With kind regards,

Martijn

I'm going to take a stab at modifiying Wang Jue's agendax module to use the xoops-defined time zone offsets. The current version seems to always display dates and times in the server's time zone.

What is the correct way for a script to access that information ? Any pointers or information or code references would be appreciated.

Defining $xoops_imageurl

I have a new theme that I downloaded from 4thefort.com and I want to change the location that a few links point to. While viewing the theme.html file I see the lines where the <a> </a> tags are but the link is "$xoops_imageurl". I would really appreciate some help in determing where these url's are defined.

I've read some more sites and I think I'm on the right track but no light at the end of the tunnel yet.

Currently the link is as such you mouse over the link and it points to /forums. This is incorrect, it should point to /modules/newbb/.

How and where do I adjust the code to point in the correct location?

Forgive me if I'm overlooking the obvious.

Wes

With the Xtremuserguestbook every user can have its own guestbook.

If you want to have a normal siteguestbook you should look for Xtremguestbook.
