Precisely, the resource.db.php problem is coming from an error in this file.
As I said in a previous post you can already get the updated version in CVS if you want, as it has other advantages and works with the 2.0.5 kernel.

The ones coming from /templates_c/xxxxxx.html come from the template files, not really smarty. As a general rule, if you want to use a variable in your template but are not sure it will be defined, you should test for its existence like this:

I was thinking that for the contact module it could be more useful if instead of the email from the form always going to the email address of the admin.

There are so many different scenarios where somebody would rather have an email go somewhere else if the contact form was designed for communication, say, for something being sold, or something being described, when the actual admin only does support related to the actual website.

If there was some admin features to the contact module, I think they could include various email address with alias' to add, thereby allowing somebody on the form to select different people to address an email to.

Does that make any sence?

In the mean time, can the settoEmails or whatever that handle is, be set from ($xoopsconfig['adminemail']) to a static email address such as user@domain?

Blank pages popping up seemingly at random can signify the MySQL server connection timing out during loading. Also, you might want to check the integrity of your database, just in case. Other then that, without php-debug turned on at that time, and te user reporting the error messages he/she gets, we can't be sure what is causing this...
