Re: Help in 2.05

in looking at the resulting html source from your page, it appears that you have duplicate <body> tags declared in your document:

<body bgcolor="#000000">
<
table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
  <
tr
    <
td valign="top"
        <!
DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<
html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">
<
head>
  <!--
Head Contents Snipped for brevity-->
</
head>

<
body>

when you include header.php you get all the standard XOOPS Header and Sidebar information, so adding a second body tag is unnecessary. The first line should actually be the <!--DOCTYPE --> line.

Re: check database problem

this just means that the MySQL account specified earlier in the install did not have permission to create new databases. Instead, I would create a new database using phpmyadmin called zero19_xoops then try the installation again.

Re: template_c and system_userinfo.php

when a module is installed / updated the templates specified in xoops_version.php are added to tplfile table and the template contents are added to tplsource.

Hi,

Ok I have been struggling with this for a while, and so I turn to the community for help again. I have been working on a small portal for a small community, one of the options they really want is free e-mail ala hotmail.

Is there a good script out there that you know of or even a module that would allow the users to sign up for a free e-mail account with my website?

I have an stml mail server, and the ability to sign people up as users and they would get an e-mail, but I want them to be able to register themselves.

Help?

Thank you.

Jan Krasny

I'll have to take a closer look later, but it's an interesting mod. Anyone else interested in getting this to work? Anyone else currently have it working who might want to post a patch?

Ah! That works.

I did look in the database to see if there was something in it that would need updating but couldn't see it.

Which table is updated when I update the system module? ( Just so I can get more of an understanding what's going on)

Thanks for your help - I can sleep now!

Andrew
