why is it only affecting that one module? I know this is a back door approach to seeing and adjusting what is in a folder.
But I can see and add things to the other modules just fine. I can admin the entire site including doing admin services to the content module, ie. Re-arrange the order that the different modules display in a block (admin portion of content module)! I can set permissions, etc. When clicking on the content button on the left on the front page or any other page I still get that darn message.

Try thishttp://207.36.196.94/clippersswim.org/xoops/modules/news/admin/index.php?op=topicsmanager
Don't know if it will work for you as the dns is not pointed to this ste yet.

Did that, still does not work. I have reset the module in admin, reapplied my preferences. I have even changed my block for my start page to see if that is the problem, nope! Every other module will function as my start page just fine. Also, If I have another module as my start page, clicking on content still give me the "module does not exist. I have tried uninstalling module and reinstalling module to no avail. Help!!

i installed the basic 2.05 package from ensim panel offered in their power tools section. (given to me from my isp). But couldn't see anything because the domain is not pointed to me yet ( trying not to have any down time in the transfer). So my isp did something so I could begin editing content and installing extra modules. I can now get into the site and use admin. I installed successfully several modules but when I tried to post a news article it said that module does not exist. I set NEWS to come up as my home page. Created several titles but nothing displays on the home page except that message "Module does not exist". I updated module and still nothing...so I installed Content manager and disabled News. It says content installed correctly but still get the same message when trying to post a story from the content manager.
HELP! I KNOW NO PHP BUT AM WILLING TO LEARN.

This is my first time with ANY cms. I am building this site for my son's team.
They want to be able to:
1)Keep private certain sections of the website from competetive teams.
2)Be able to assign updatability to certain pages to different people in the organization. (sub-admins)
3)They want to create a mailing list.
4)They want to be able to moderate membership, to keep competators from accessing the private pages.
5)they would like to have a photo gallery (private).
6)Blog and forums capability.
7)They want to tie into cafepress.
8) Web Calendar.

I curently have XOOPS 2.0 basic installation.
What modules would you recomment (names and creator please)
that will give me this functionality for them. should I upgrade?

I am not at the design stage, just want to get all the modules installed and find a good theme to match their sport (swimming).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I had the choice of php-nuke, postnuke, and XOOPS preinstalled be my isp. I chose Xoops!
