I would like to include the articles of a News module topic as part of my home page. Is there a way to to do this?

I could not find a readily available way to have the News module to render articles for a topic to embed in an html page via an <iframe> so....

1. Copied modules/news/templates/index.html to modules/news/templates/news_home.html

2. Copied modules/news/index.php to modules/news/home.php

3. Updated modules/news/xoops_version.php to include the news_home.html template and updated the News module database using Modules Administration update

4. Updated modules/news/templates/news_home.html to have home page contents. (Welcome message, yadda, yadda, yadda)

5. Fiddled with modules/news/home.php to reference the news_home.html template, hard coded the News topic, etc.

6. Updated modules/system/templates/system_homepage.html to redirect to /modules/news/home.php

Instead of that, go to Admin and General Preferences, and select News as a "Module for your start page"
